**The Alien Incident** (tm) was an event which occcurred during the **[[filicraftremaster|i28 remaster (i39) iteration]]** in which flying saucers were created above every town on the server. Due to stale gameplay leading up to the server's end 7/27/24, server admin [[uhfiliate|uhFiliate]] decided in VC to 
spontaneously end the final war day in a memorable way. An original version of the saucer was copied from its place over the town of Santo Domingo [hyperlink this] and pasted over every town on the server soon after nodes war had ended for the day, and commands were entered that spawned TNT above every loaded chunk and caused those players still logged on to have a screen shaking effect. After a short period of ineffective TNT spam, uhFiliate swapped tactics and entered the /kill command repeatedly for around 2-3 minutes, killing the entire population of the server simultaneously over that duration. After this period the server was permanently closed and was not opened again for regular play, ending the iteration.

**History and Context**

Leading up to the incident there had been several technological advancements by other countries in the world. During the Cuban Time Machine Situation [hyperlink that], Cubans loudly proclaimed the highest level of technological advancement on the server, and then did so again during the succeeding Cuban Missile Crisis [hyperlink that] the very next day. Date of construction may be disputed but it is likely that the Indian Group lead by Cl0wnus_ [might have misspelled his name][include the actual name of the group on the server] had constructed the first, if crude, 7-11 on the server. In effort to keep pace and surpass rivals in the sphere of technological development, officers within the Dominican Republic contrived to create an ultimate technological advancement. This combined with the Doom Shroom Incident [hyperlink that] had great potential to achieve that effect.

The result was something which can only be construed as intentionally jumping the shark with the creation of an alien mothership bedecked with the greens, oranges, and reds of a typical 7-11 convenience store on the bottom of the ship and a large symbol of a masonic compass and square on the top. The original intent of the ship was to have admins copy and paste it above any town or nation which was at war with the Dominican Republic, the thought process being that the aliens were helping the group during war time. This notion was used to a similar effect as originally intended during the end of the server.
