Phamtomguy (styled as phamtomguy, and frequently misspelled as phantomguy) is a player and former nation leader who served as King of Spain during i32, a commander in Troy and North Italy in i33 and i34 respectively, and Spanish “caudillio” again in i38. His tenure as King during i32 was controversial, following a pre-server feud with Portugal. Initially regarded as a community pariah and lolcow, Phamtomguy's reputation improved following a “redemption arc” in iteration 34 in which his group assisted the anti-German/Norse coalition during the server's first war day.

Phamtomguy first discovered /int/craft in the summer of 2018, during which he briefly played iteration 26 (commonly known as “epicfailcraft”) before losing interest in the community for several years after said iteration's premature collapse. He would again be invited to /int/craft by well-known player TheSpookyBone in early 2020, in the midst of iteration 31 (“Middle East”), but would not begin to play seriously until May of that year with the launch of iteration 32 (“1700 craft)”.

Phamtomguy joined the Swedish faction in iteration 26, playing only for a few hours before deeming the server uninteresting and ceasing activity for several years.

Phamtomguy played for Egypt, but was hindered by his then low-quality PC and Windows Vista operating system, which ran Minecraft at 5 FPS. He was not a nation leader and achieved little of note.

Phamtomguy claimed Spain during this iteration. During his tenure, Phamtomguy oversaw a plan to annex the entire Iberian peninsula under an Iberian Union. A meme coalition formed between Spain and Morocco to help defeat the Portuguese nation under Uma_Delicia. During pre-server diplomacy, attempts to negotiate a possible peace fell flat and only assured total Portuguese war.

Phamtomguy's diplomacy took a major blow after leaked discord screenshots seemed to indicate that Phamtom planned on backstabbing allies after the planned annexation of Portugal. This was partially false. Further contextual information would be purposefully obfuscated by Portugal for propaganda purposes: in actuality, Phamtom only briefly considered attacking Morocco during the first few days of the server *before* deciding to form an alliance with them, and ultimately antagonize Portugal. Nonetheless, these leaks caused not only confusion among the Spanish but triggered anger from even the largest of nations who perceived this as a severe case of warmongering. Additionally, Phamtomguy was widely memed after it was discovered that he had a reddit account linked to his Discord bio, resulting in his branding as “Redditguy” for the remainder of the server and a constant barrage of reddit icon reacts whenever he posted in the main server.

In an attempt to save face, Phamtom would appoint his friend and co-commander Gambino to the position of King for a time in-game, while remaining as de facto leader in all but name.

During the server's iteration, meme raids were extremely common against Phamtomguy. While most raids only caused minor damage, it was actually the Portuguese who had nearly drained the coffers of Spain's armory from the continued fights. By wartime, the supposed coalition between Spain and Morocco had proved to be a paper tiger. Divided among several fronts and unable to fight effectively, with allies in France and Poland bogged down by their own respective wars on other sides of the map, Morocco was soon destroyed completely, allowing Portugal to bring all their might towards Spain. At the end of the fight, the Spanish capitulated and Phamtomguy unconditionally surrendered his throne.

By order of the Cortes-Gerais, Phamtomguy was officially charged for treason and was imprisoned in Fort Azores. From there, Phamtomguy was tried in one of the biggest /int/craft court cases at that time. After about an hour hearing and several minutes of deliberation, the court sentenced Phamtomguy to die. He was shortly executed in a janny-approved public execution outside the fort, effectively ending his short-lapsed career as King of Spain.

Humiliated after the events of iteration 32, Phamtomguy sought revenge against the more established metagroups of the server in the next iteration, a melee resurgence centered around the “Bronze Age Collapse” era. Through a mutual acquaintance , user IronBot, a soldier of Spain during i32, PhamtomGuy made contact with players Jrrarrow and Gavingoodman, future leaders of what would later become the “child soldiers”/PvP kid metagroup – users who would go on to establish the South African nation of iteration 38.

Phantomguy served as a general for Troy, and served both defense during the Siege of Troy and offense in the Battle of Tyre. Both operations ended in total Trojan victory. Leveraging the inexperienced players lack of knowledge of the server and community, PhamtomGuy asserted himself into a position of power within the nascent metagroup, successfully convincing Jrarrow to attack several metagroups who he viewed as antagonizing him during i32 – inadvertently drawing the ire of virtually the entire server through persistent memeraids.

Forging an alliance with player roguelich (formerly coolghoul), Phantomguy would utilize the metagroup's larger numbers & superior experience in the melee meta to decisively defeat the nations of Babylon and Tyre, securing one of his only victories during the course of his /int/craft career.

Riding of the coattails of their victory in iteration 33, Phamtom & Gavingoodman set their sights on larger conquest in iteration 34, though these plans would never come to fruition. Janitor interference and bias along with community-wide outrage at Phamtom's acquiring of a large army of mostly low-quality, underage pvpfags would result in said group's exclusion from the official nation selection process, in which they were refused first the opportunity to play as the Ottoman Empire, and, thereafter, Italy.

Persistent petitioning by Phamtom, Jrarrow, and Goodman to be allowed to play as an independent group would result in admin Leitearts10 putting the acquiring of the nation of Italy up to a vote: whichever faction could log more players onto the iteration's test server in a single session would be declared victorious. Despite Leite's best efforts to stack the deck in Wendell09 and Warcorp's favor, Phamtomguy's group would win the election by a single player, 21-20. Thus began the Italian civil war.

The Northern Italian Phamtomists, given only 24 hours to grind & prepare for the conflict which would commence on the second day of the server, would set up their camp in the node of Florence, while the Southern Italian Brazilians and Warcorpists built their capital in the Sicilian province of Palermo. The Phamtomists would face a coalition of virtually the entire server – a multi-front war that did not fare well for the newfag faction – save for the Kalmar Union, allies from iteration 33 which assisted them if for no other reason than to make the lopsided conflict somewhat interesting.

But the support of the Neo-Norse was not enough to fend off the large multi-national coalition, and Florence soon fell to anti-Phamtomist forces after several hours of intense fighting, resulting in South Italy's renaming to simply “Italy” and total domination of the Italian peninsula, save for the nodes conquered by Switzerland during the war, which were given to domsquad as a reward for their assistance.

After the war, PhamtomGuy's group would relocate to Estonia, where his power would rapidly decline. Frustrated by Phamtom's negative reputation and baggage preventing him from conducting proper diplomacy, GavinGoodman would kick him from the group following an argument. This did not occur immediately, however – and during the period in which he still held some semblance of influence within the group, Phamtom would notably petition Gavin to attack Germany from the East during the server's first war day, in an attempt to curry favor with the oldfag groups who had grown to despise him since his first iteration. This succeeded, and Phamtomguy was hailed as hero for distracting the Germans during a critical offensive, frustrating Gavin & others who received little credit.

After his ousting, Phamtom would go on to join the town of Paris, fighting with strykergang for the remainder of the server placing in the top 10 of claim-fencepost placers of the whole iteration.

Phamtomguy did not play i35 due to being between computers at the time, avoiding the mass IP leak and subsequent scandals which plagued the iteration. He did, however, briefly participate in the server discord, and was present in several voice calls during the trolling of Chris druo, the underage owner of “EarthCraft”.

Phamtomguy did not play i36 due to lacking a computer at the time.

Phamtomguy lead the loyalists in Spain to victory against the rebels. Afterwards, Spain was soon subjugated under the Portuguese-led Iberian Union.

Phamtomguy was initially set to play i39 as a member of the Cuban faction, however, was prevented from doing so due to an IRL medical emergency.

Phamtomguy fought with strykergang for the second time in his career as a soldier of the Sinaloa Cartel, winning the Portogua medal of honor for bravery in the fight against the Fedwardist coalition, led by the American Social Republic.
