"Middle East" (i44)
“Middle East” is an iteration that was launched on the 15th of August. Shilled and previously teased as a dedicated Middle East/Iran War server, effectively a more modern redux of i31, many members of the community have expressed confusion at what looks more like a Euro-centric server than anything else1). i44 will be the first /int/craft of 2026, and the first one in over a year since jeetcraft.
Development
i44's development likely started as a merger of two separate projects in their infancy, being headed by Ghoul and Fedward respectively. Intended to originally be a modern day server set in the Middle East, lobbying by Fedward turned it into the current crop seen above. All of the development was done by INSPECTOR_OF_EUNUCHS (before he left the staff team), with gun configs being done by Fedward.
i44's entire plugin suite was updated to 1.21.11, including nodes, xc, and xv. Other planned features, like town buffs and nerfs based on build quality or data centers, were scrapped due to community pushback. Nodes painting was handled by jammy_nutrient, and the map was done by Goaboa/Falklands, updating the Europe + MENA region of Stongduke's Earth map, which was previously used for i34 and i38.
Politics
Most factions that played i43 have announced their intent to play again, with the Wojcrafters of i40's AEMG and i43's Jaffna in Italy, remnants of Strykergang in Spain, Fedward in France, and Cyprus in Ukraine. Other groups that were absent from the last iteration returned as well, the most notable of these being the Civcrafters in Tunisia and Randemists in Crete.
While not much has happened in the way of pre-diplo (so far, at least), there does seem to be conflicts shaping up in some parts of the map. Newfag factions in Ireland are likely to come to blows, the Tunisians have announced their intent to restore the Caliphates of old, and another Wojcrafter faction in Chechnya seems set on /warring the nearest Slavic country.
