Carthage was a large nation in i3 founded by roguelich in partnership with Feddos and Jurri. By winning the Punic War against Rome at the grace's lifting Carthage emerged as early 3.0's superpower, with the server's highest population, a number of active towns and considerable military prowess. Following the disastrous war against Teutonica, the Jewish Rebellion and the falling-out with its erstwhile ally, Celtiberia, Carthage's power noticeably declined and eventually empire's capital city was sacked by the Epirus-led alliance.

Refounded a week later, resurgent Carthage had to battle the dominant Graeco-Roman bloc for survival and recognition. Successful in this enterprise, Carthage partnered with the Norse to bring down the Graeco-Roman-Japanese alliance. In the server's last significant war, the Norse-Punic alliance had won almost all battles and skirmishes, Carthage however, fell prey to a night-time Towny alt-player exploit and was sacked again, with some Rome-friendly staff members unwilling to reverse the illegal damage.
